How do I find my race car?

All the races at the speedway are color-coded. Simply match the race color on your ticket with a car's screen displaying the same color. If your race color is red, just find a car in the red race.

What age restrictions/limitations are there to race?

There are no age limits to race.
Racers must be at least 52 inches tall for the driver to be able to reach the pedals, see over the dashboard and operate the simulator.
No state driver's license is needed.

What age restrictions/limitations are there for passengers riding in the crew seat?

For passengers only, we require they be at least 4 years of age and a minimum of 40 pounds so that the safety harness fits properly.

What weight restrictions are there to occupy the simulators?
Each simulator will accommodate up to 600 pounds. This maximum weight applies to the total combined weight of the both the driver and the passenger riding in the Crew seat.

How long does the racing experience last?
The entire racing experience lasts approximately twenty minutes, starting with the instructional video in the transporter, to the race, to the winner's circle. The actual racing action lasts about seven to eight minutes. For Driver's Club and SRA Members, we have longer, more extensive competition events. For more information, please contact your local Racing Center.

How many laps does a race consist of?
That depends on your racing ability. Click here for Racing Tips.

Can the computer-controlled cars be beaten?

Yes! It just takes a little practice!

Do I have to wear a seatbelt?

We believe in safety at the Speedway. Your simulator will not move unless you buckle your seat belt. Make sure your crew is belted in, too.

Are all of the cars the same? Which is the fastest car?

All of the cars are identical in performance and speed. There is no advantage to one car over the other - it's up to you to drive the best that you can!

How do I enter my race car?

Each race ticket and Drivers License is imprinted with a computer barcode. When entering your car, swipe your ticket in the card reader at the car's entry gate. Simply slide your ticket through the card reader's slot, making sure the barcode faces the red light. When the green light comes on, you'll be greeted by a Crew Chief's voice from your car. Just step into your car and get ready to race.

Can I stop racing if I don't feel well?

With your safety and comfort in mind, we've equipped each race car simulator with an Emergency Stop button. If during a race, you feel the desire to stop the motion of the simulator for any reason, push the large red button located in the center dash. This immediately stops the motion of the simulator and a crew member will report to your race car and check with you. Note that even though the motion is stopped, you can still drive and finish the race.

Can I have a friend ride along with me?

Yes, you can have a crew member ride along, helping you out with a second pair of eyes and ears. There is even an in-car display for the passenger so they can keep an eye out for accidents and other drivers. Simply purchase a crew seat ticket and have fun!
