You gotta
drive it.
You've got to drive it to really FEEL
the experience. There is no way, on the web, we can simulate the deep
bass vibration of the engine reving through your body or bump you
get as you trade paint with the number 3 car. Nor can we adequately
describe the rush of adrenaline you get as your heartbeat races and
sweat forms on your palms and forehead. Find a nearby
Racing Center. You gotta drive it.
Climb
in and hold on.
You climb in to a nearly-authentic (don't have to climb
through the window!) stock car and buckle in. You start this 750 hp
monster and feel the bass and vibration through your body as you rev
the engine. It
really moves.
As you drive, this full motion simulator moves and
REALLY feels real. You can feel centrifugal force pushing against
you when you turn. You can feel the jarring impact of a crash on the
wall or getting hit by another car. You can feel the concrete push
against the steering wheel as you work to hold it through the turns.
You can feel the car "push" or get "loose". It's as real as it gets!
What Does Tony Stewart Think? March 18, 2004
One thing that I had not done for a few months was go over to that Silicon Motor Speedway at the Concord Mills Mall. I used to be in a weekly league, so I messed around with some of the customers for a couple of hours. Some of them cats take it pretty serious, but for me its cool to have a new car at the touch of a button and not so much worry about what I am saying or who I am saying it to. It is like a two-hour long therapy session. I love video games, and it's as realistic as you are going to get in a simulator. So much so, that I have almost lost my cookies a couple of times. Got
questions?
