9:00am Oct 28th A local "World of Outlaw" sprint car driver, Tony Biggert came by to challenge Mark in a few friendly competitions. He also brought along with him his "Sprint" car and took pictures and signed autographs for everyone and all the money went to the charity. ![]() The Final Hour It has been 23 hours since Mark first started racing. His endurance is still standing strong and he shows no signs of fatigue. Mark has met a lot of new friends and has established himself as an outstanding driver at NASCAR Speedway. Mark is racing for the March of Dimes out of the goodness of his heart and he gains nothing from this event except for life long memories. In the past 23 hours people have stopped by to cheer Mark on and show their gratitude for what he is doing. Some people jumped in a few race to give Mark some good competition and have a chance to help support the March of Dimes. In the last hour the cheerleaders stuck around to show the support and do a few cheers for Mark. People walking around the mall stopped in as well to see Mark in his final hour. ![]() |
![]() 10:00am Oct 28th Drivers club member and cheerleading Coach Glenn Jacquay came by to cheer Mark on and encourage people to come out and race. Glenn and his cheerleaders also jumped in a few races to see if the could keep up with the tired Mark Garay. Although Mark is tired and now has been racing for 22 hours straight he still shows those cheerleaders how to race like a pro. ![]() 12:00 noon on October 28th Mark jumps out of the #3 car in from his last race. His mission was a huge success and well worth it. People where cheering Mark on has he walks down to the Winner's Circle to pick up over 200 of his race results. ![]() Written by Jason Homewood, CTC |
