ATLANTA AREA TO GET SECOND NASCAR SILICON MOTOR SPEEDWAY LOCATION

INDIANAPOLIS (July 27, 2002) – The NASCAR hotbed of Atlanta will get its second NASCAR Silicon Motor Speedway Racing Center when a new location opens Monday in the Arbor Place Mall in Douglasville, Ga.

The 12th NASCAR Silicon Motor Speedway Racing Center in the United States, the Arbor Place Mall store joins the location in Buford’s Mall of Georgia to make Atlanta the only city with two locations of the popular attraction.

NASCAR Silicon Motor Speedway Racing Centers provide a realistic racing experience that simulates the motions, sights, sounds and competitive feel of an actual NASCAR race. The centers are designed to provide a fun, unique entertainment experience and have an atmosphere of authentic NASCAR racing.

The racing centers are all located in high traffic, high profile locations. Each racing center consists of eight to fourteen race car simulators that are 80 percent of the size of an actual NASCAR race car with many of the same colors and sponsor logos found in NASCAR. With the most sophisticated proprietary racing simulator technology in the world combined with licensing agreements with International Speedway Corporation and Speedway Motorsports, Inc., the centers simulate races at popular NASCAR tracks such as Daytona, Richmond, Charlotte and Atlanta. In addition, each center features the latest in NASCAR driver and team merchandise.

The new Arbor Place Mall location will include 10 simulators. The hours of operation will be Monday through Thursday, 10 a.m. until 9 p.m.; Friday and Saturday, 10 a.m. until 10 p.m.; and Sunday noon until 7 p.m.

In addition to the two locations in the Atlanta area, the centers are also in Minneapolis, Chicago, Los Angeles, Houston, Charlotte, Grand Rapids, Mich., Birmingham, Ala., Albany, N.Y., Nashville, Tenn., and Nyack, N.Y.
