NASCAR
CELEBRITIES VISIT SILICON MOTOR SPEEDWAY
RACING CENTERS
INDIANAPOLIS
(April 13, 2002) -- NASCAR Silicon Motor Speedway Racing Centers
have recently become even more exciting places for NASCAR fans to
visit as several NASCAR celebrities have taken part in special events
at the locations.
NASCAR
Winston Cup drivers Dale Earnhardt, Jr., and Kyle Petty and renowned
motorsports artist Sam Bass have visited NASCAR Silicon Motor Speedway
locations in Alabama, Minnesota and Tennessee, greeting NASCAR fans
and enjoying the facilities.
Earnhardt
visited the NASCAR Silicon Motor Speedway at the Riverchase Galleria
in Birmingham, Ala. The driver of the Budweiser Chevrolet on the NASCAR
Winston Cup Series, Earnhardt's visit was part of a media day event
hosted by nearby Talladega Superspeedway. Nine lucky "Wanna Race
Dale Jr.?" contest winners got to race against Earnhardt in the
simulators.
Petty,
a third-generation NASCAR star like Earnhardt, recently visited the
NASCAR Silicon Motor Speedway Racing Center located in the Mall of
America near Minneapolis. The driver of the Sprint PCS Dodge greeted
fans and signed autographs in one of the world's largest shopping
malls.

Bass, who has worked within the NASCAR community for 20 years and
has created many driver portraits, specialty prints and other works
of art, appeared at the location in Nashville, Tenn., at Opry Mills.
While in the Nashville area, Bass also participated in opening ceremonies
for the NASCAR
Busch Series race at nearby Nashville Super Speedway.
Located
in shopping malls across the country, NASCAR Silicon Motor Speedway
Racing Centers provide a realistic racing experience that simulates
the motions, sights, sounds and competitive feel of an actual NASCAR
race. The centers are designed to provide a fun, unique entertainment
experience and have the atmosphere of authentic NASCAR racing.
Each racing center consists of eight to fourteen race car simulators
that are 80 percent the size of an actual NASCAR race car with many
of the same colors and sponsor logos found in NASCAR racing. Under
licensing agreements with International Speedway Corporation and Speedway
Motorsports, Inc., the centers simulate races at popular NASCAR tracks
such as Daytona, Richmond, Lowe's and Atlanta. In addition, each center
includes the latest in NASCAR apparel.
NASCAR
Silicon Motor Speedway Racing Centers are operated by Perfect Line,
LLC, of Indianapolis under a license granted by NASCAR Properties.
